This Budget Start Up Kit will get you started with the Art with Vanessa Joret online drawing course with minimal outlay.  It contains the essential art materials that you will need for the graphite modules (except a sharpener and eraser/rubber).  Most of these are specialised products that you are not likely to already have at home.  It also includes a small sketchbook (still A4 but less pages).  It is suitable for those who are wanting to keep the cost down and who already have some basic materials eg sharpener and white eraser.

Contents:

  • 2 x A4 Drawing Grids (exclusive product of Vanessa Joret Art)
  • 1 x Reeves Sketchbook A4 (110gsm acid-free cartridge paper 20 sheets/40pages, landscape format)
  • 1 tin of 6 Staedtler Lumograph Pencils (HB 2B 4B 6B 7B 8B)
  • 1 x "Skinny Rubber" (Tombow Zero Round Eraser)
  • 1 x "Putty Rubber" (Faber Castell Kneadable Eraser)
  • 1 x Removable Tape (Scotch)
Due to supply issues, items may occasionally need to be substituted for an equivalent product of an alternative brand, it will always be of comparable or higher quality.

What is NOT included:  This kit does not include fixative, a sandpaper block, a second set of pencils, a "fat rubber" (you can substitute an ordinary white rubber), a cotton bud or a sharpener.  You will obviously need a sharpener and a rubber to do the course, but you can complete the initial modules without the other items, these are considered "optional".  If you are looking for a kit that does include all these items then go to Premium Start Up Kit.

NOTE:  Fixative is NOT included in any of the kits.  This is because it cannot be posted due to it being classified as a "flammable gas".  Fixative is not essential for doing the course but I do recommend you buy yourself some because it will help protect your work.  I use Micador Workable Matt which is available from most art stores.
